"Beauty may be skin deep, but ugly goes clear to the bone."
-Red Foxx
I love bones, especially certain ones in particular. In my paintings your always bound to find a girl who looks as though she could use another meal or two. Not that I encourage anorexia or bulimia, or am either of those. I just happen to like naturally and unnaturally bony bodies. There's something about the inside of our bodies finding its way outside that fascinates me I guess.
I myself have always been a bit bony. My collarbones, spine and hip bones are pretty prominent. Those are some of my favourite things about me. That may be why one of my favourite bones to see on others are collar bones, I think they're beautiful. People say that a long slender neck is stunning, I say the same, but for collarbones.
Spines, ribs and shoulder blades I find to be quite pretty as well. There's especially something about ribs that I love. I like the way they feel, the way they look, and the way they act as a cage to protect vital organs. the first time I started drawing/painting bony girls, the bones I started with were ribs. There's something about them that I can't quite explain. They're just special.
