"The soul becomes dyed with the color of its thoughts" - Marcus Aurelius

I've had white walls for four years and I couldn't stand them. when we moved last summer and were promised that we could have our rooms painted I was ecstatic. Before, I would hang artwork, collages, and magazine pictures on every wall trying to make them a little more exciting.

Finally last weekend it was warm enough out and there was enough extra money to buy paint. I chose purple based on the fact that it's my favourite color. I painted all Saturday afternoon, early Sunday morning, and later Sunday afternoon. It was a lot of work for just me but makes me feel that much better every time I'm in there.
I can't stop looking around. One color can change any room so dramatically, mine finally feels pulled together. The color not only changed the room but the way I feel in it, more creative and calm. I never want white walls again, unless, of course, it goes with the theme of the room.
